The Boos Of South Carolina

Clip from message on Sunday, October 11, 2026

Political candidates did not win elections by publicly repudiating Christ's Golden Rule and the great dream of America being a city on a hill in which the oppressed peoples of the world could find comfort and strength. That all changed in 2012, when the ones who should be the most devoted people of all to Christ's Golden Rule, evangelical Christians, literally booed and hissed when a Christian physician, Dr. Ron Paul, appealed to The Golden Rule in his address to the audience at a Republican campaign debate in South Carolina. If the shots on Lexington Green in 1775 formed the shot heard 'round the world, then those shouts in South Carolina in 2012, rejecting Christ's Golden Rule, being proclaimed by Ron Paul, formed the shout heard round the throne of God in heaven, a shout that has brought the fury of God upon America in the form of Donald Trump.
